An expert & trained career counsellor from an international leading career counselling company in Pune, predicts a 25% rise in the number of aspirants this year who would opt to study MBBS abroad in comparison to the year 2020.

The NTA had invited online applications on 13.7.21 for National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2021 & notified that the exam will be conducted on 12.9.21 in 13 different languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The number of applications for the NEET-UG exam received by NTA since its inception in 2017 has been increasing every year. This year we see the same trend is followed by the students. The number of centres for the safe conduct of NEET-UG exam and strict adherence to following social distancing rules have been increased to 3843 from 2546.

The biggest factor that worries a general candidate is competition & from this year, it has been decided by the Government of India to implement 27% OBC reservation (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10% EWS reservation in 15% Under Graduate (UG) All India Quota seats (MBBS/BDS) (contributed by the State/UTs to Central Pool ). This reservation will take effect from the current academic session 2021-22. This decreases the number of seats for general candidates who were hoping to have a crack on these seats. Candidates aiming to complete MBBS courses in Govt. institutions or Pvt. institutions where the fees are affordable will face fierce competition for these seats.

Eventually, some will miss out & some would be successful. For those who miss out our heart goes with them year by year. We really feel bad every year for those families.

Nowadays, the NEET -UG examination has become a family affair. Everyone in the family of NEET aspirants sacrifices in some way or another. From Indian to International Counsellors, everyone understands this grave problem for those who miss out on the medical exam.

We would like to enlighten every candidate & their parents through this article that this is not the end of the road; we are one of those dedicated professionals who help students with personal, emotional and psychological concerns while they are trying to pursue their dream careers.

In India and abroad, everybody understands the bitter reality of the world and the times we live in, money is a deciding factor to some extent. As bad as it sounds, sometimes people have to make compromises with their choice of course if they cannot afford it. Our Counsellors motivate those candidates & make them realize that money factor may influence their career choices but it should not be the only factor to quit their journey of dreams midway. If they are willing to put effort & make some small adjustments such as staying far from their hometown, they can still dream of becoming a successful doctor.

As professionals, we try to admit students to the best world-class universities across the globe at an affordable budget. The affordable universities we suggest are mainly Govt. Universities located in Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritius, Italy, Hungary, etc. The universities/institutes abroad provide students with state-of-the-art universities with modern amenities for a holistic educational experience. The universities not only have world-class faculty members but also offer internationally recognized degrees to students so that they can create a mark in the medical field worldwide. Universities and colleges abroad also provide paramount safety and security to students so that they can feel at home in a foreign land.

To attract international students, a lot of government universities abroad use English as their primary language of interaction and communication in medical universities. However, aspirants should note that it is always a bonus to be versed in the local language. The amount of research opportunities a student has in universities abroad is tremendous, even at a Bachelor’s level.

Students get opportunities to work with professors on different research projects. Medical research involves exploration in a wide range of fields, such as biology, pharmacology, and toxicology to develop new medicines or medical procedures that improve the application of those already available. With the medical industry being global and well connected, an MBBS Graduate from abroad is not restricted to the native country only but is also eligible to apply for various PG Courses or licentiate exams across the globe.

We take utmost care while suggesting a university to various aspirants keeping in mind their Learning styles, Budget, Aptitude & Suitability to weather as an individual. It is also important for a student to be aware of the fact that the course duration varies from country to country.

We also guide students on how to choose the course based on duration and give them insights related to the differences between a 4, 5 or 6- year MBBS program abroad with or without internships in India & Abroad.

Why MBBS abroad is valuable? Firstly the fee structure in universities abroad is very affordable. Secondly, Govt of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is committed to creating quality medical education & transparent examination not only at the Under Graduation level but also at the Post-Graduation level.

The effort is underway to implement the NeXT (National Exit Test) exam by 2023, The NeXT Exam will ensure the quality of doctors aspiring for Post Graduation or applying for licenses in respective states. Till now, students who completed their MBBS from abroad had to undergo FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) to get their valid licenses respectively to practice in India. The move of implementing the NeXT exam by MoHFW Govt of India will now give Foreign Medical Graduates an equal opportunity to compete with their Indian counterparts which will ensure every candidate who is practising as an MBBS doctor in India is a NeXT exam-qualified doctor. This move will certainly ensure one thing that no MBBS practitioner is looked at with a biased vision. Moreover in this way, the country would be producing more Doctors which we realize are an asset to any nation in these difficult times.

This is all about study MBBS abroad. If you come across any student who prefers to go abroad for medical studies, you can easily help him/her out with these insights.
